Author Biography:

K.C. Alexander Holds a degree in Mech. Engg from Mysore University and post graduate degree in Industrial Engg & Management from University of Wisconsin, USA, Post graduate Diploma in SQC & OR from ISI, and a Diploma in Production Management from West Berlin, Germany. One of the founder members of Industrial Engineering Chapter in Kerala & Tamil Nadu in early 1961-62. Put in a total of 53 years of experience with 35 years in senior positions at Murugappa Group companies and about 18 years as Consultant with a difference in many companies of repute at Chennai in the area of Productivity Enhancement in Manufacturing Operations and productivity linked wage settlements of about 40 numbers with union teams of different companies. All along the implementation of the productivity improvements with head count reduction and drastic changes in the shop floor were the priorities while working as employee or as consultant. Now walking in the 80 the year of life on this planet and using the time for sharing the experience with manufacturing teams and for motivating them to excel on their task of productivity enhancement and possible head count reduction in their area of control. Dr. A.K. Raj, PhD Holds a degree in Production Engg from P S G College of Technology and post graduate degree in Industrial Engg from P S G College of Technology, Coimbatore. Subsequently, I was associated with IIT, Madras for about 8 years and I was awarded PhD degree in Operations Management in the year 2013. Put in a total of 30 years of experience in various positions at Murugappa Group companies in association with the author Mr. K.C. Alexander and 2 years experience as ERP Consultant in Oracle ERP Partner Company till the year 2013 subsequently, providing Management Consultancy to various organizations till date.
