This text is an exploration of the relationship between physical and psychological wellbeing. It draws on postmodern and narrative theory to consider the psychosomatic processes which underpin and enhance health. The text adopts a psychoanalytic stance rooted in the work of D.W. Author Biography:

MAGGIE TURP is Lecturer and Researcher in Counselling at the University of Hertfordshire and a psychotherapist and supervisor in private practice. She is qualified in psychology and social work and has worked extensively in the field of mental health. She trained in psychoanalytic psychotherapy at the Tavistock Clinic and at the Institute for Psychoanalytic and Social Studies.
