After having to suffer innumerable bad mousemats, i finally decided to spend the cash and get a decent long lasting unit. What i ended up with was the Exactmat and wrist rest combo.
All in all this is the best mousemat i have ever owned (ive been though DSE mouse pads, Coolermaster leather mouse pads and Steelkeys mouse pads). It has a huge surface area (Perfect for gaming mice and those of us with big hands) which consists of a ‘speed’ layer on one side and a ‘control’ layer on the reverse. Both layers have their own unique advantages such as improved glide on control side and improved stability on the speed side. Couple this with the aluminium plate they're both fixed to and you've got one of the toughest mouse mats on the market!
The wrist rest is another great addition and one i wouldn't want to go without. not only does it keep your wrist from aching with use but it also acts as a huge foot that extends under the pad (which is good since the rubber feet on the mat aren't the best).
Good as it is, there are still some things that could use improvement. The feet on the pad aren't as good as one would hope and have a habit of sliding around after a few months of use. The razer logo on the wrist rest only serves to irritate as it flakes off and gets stuck to your mouse feet. Finally the Speed surface clogs with gunge easily and makes for less then stellar mousing experience until cleaned, which is not an easy task.
All in all this is the mousemat id recommend to anyone gamers home users alike.
