Description

This is an outline-ordered comprehensive, definitive review of material included on the Connecticut General and State-only Sales portions of the licensing exam that is written in a direct, concise style. It is the ONLY book on the market for these tests that is grounded in the experience of an actual test-writer who spent years in charge of real estate test development for one of the three companies still providing real estate examinations for commissions nationwide. The book also benefits from an "insider's" commentary on what is testable and what is just too advanced or complex for the exams. It includes a full-length 80-question general-portion sample broker test AND a full-length 40-question state-portion broker test, BOTH assembled to match actual exam "blueprints," or internal-distribution specifications. And every question comes from a pool of questions that match PSI's quality and are written to match or exceed PSI 's guidelines for style. The answer key for each includes a Diagnostic chart of strengths/weaknesses to guide further review. It is uniquely definitive and authoritative, since its author still oversees several "live" real estate licensing programs. So where other authors guess, this one KNOWS!

Author Biography:

Well-known and respected within the field of real estate testing, John R. Morgan spent over three years at Assessment Systems, Inc. (ASI) as its primary Real Estate Test Developer. This means he worked with all of the State and General item banks for ASI's then-20+ real estate client jurisdictions by traveling to each client and working with their Real Estate Commission to ensure their exams were kept stocked with current, relevant, accurate, and well-crafted questions. Morgan has been a member of the Real Estate Educators Association (REEA) since 1996, and has presented several seminars for national educators and state licensing officials on Item-Writing and Testing Standards at its annual conferences. To date he has written 9 exam prep books and numerous new editions for national use, as well as a Guide to Bermuda Real Estate at the request of the government of Bermuda. Morgan has been a professional educator and writer since receiving his Master of Arts in Teaching English from Brown University, and took his first real estate course while studying literature at the University of Connecticut. He held his first real estate license in Rhode Island during graduate school, his second in Arizona, where he sold property in Tucson, and now holds his third in his native Connecticut, where he lives on the eastern shore with his wife, two young sons, and countless cousins. Morgan entered the field of large-volume test development at the Educational Testing Services (ETS) where he spent several years writing, editing, and assembling material for the SAT-Verbal, AP-Literature, NAEP, Georgia public school exams, and other national testing programs.
