"Fall in love with the Pilbara and its famous wanderer!"
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

I love this movie! It's funny, quirky and emotional!

A great story about a dog with loads of character. Set in the Pilbara region of Western Australia in the '70s.

Red Dog really captures the essence of Kelpie, Red and the towns-folk of Dampier.

I would highly recommend this movie to all members of the family, but I must warn you…don't forget the box of tissues.

Critic Reviews:

  • " Flaws are balanced, however, by some terrific performances and Geoffrey Hall's superb cinematography. " – Lucy Popescu
  • " An endearing, funny, idiosyncratic tale, director Kriv Stender's film is made up of a series of hilarious and tearjerking scenes of human folly. " – Kaleem Aftab
  • " For some the sentimentalism will be too much to stomach, but ultimately director Kriv Stenders strikes the right balance. " – Joseph Walsh
