Description

So much that passes for Christianity today is a pale shadow of what God intends for His people. The modern Christian experience is often defined by its extremes of dry orthodoxy or shallow emotionalism. Many sincere Christians are trapped at one of these unhappy poles because they have never been taught how to experience the liberating reality of a true walk with God. Others are despondent over their seeming inability to rise above the cares of this world. The simple keys presented here are offered to those who are weary of a spiritual wilderness and desire above all else to rediscover His Presence and so enjoy "the glorious liberty of the children of God."

Author Biography:

Edward Thal lived in South Africa and England before settling in America, where he is a naturalized citizen. He serves in a ministry support role at Bluegrass Baptist Church in Georgetown, KY; has served at churches in South Carolina and Virginia, and as assistant to a missionary church planter in London, England. A varied life of business activity and spiritual service has taken him to 44 countries. He came to know well cities as diverse as Johannesburg, London, Paris, New York and Washington, D.C. and echoes Ecclesiastes in saying, "I have seen all the works that are done under the sun, and behold, all is vanity and vexation of spirit." He speaks from experience in declaring that only when we center our life in the living Jesus Christ does all of life begin to make sense.
