A soft but breathtaking album, “Relight” elegantly blends Jamaican flavors into haunting compositions. From Le Monde to 20 Minutes, from Keyboards Magazine to Telerama, reviews of Dubphonic's "Smoke Signals" (2003) were unanimously positive. Following a tour with Japanese band Audio Active and while their remix of Tosca's "Orozco" was being spun all around the world and has since featured on the cult TV shows Six Feet Under and Dexter, the band went back to the studio in 2004.
Stefane Goldman, Alexis Mauri aka Alexkid and Sylvain Mosca, wanted the best for their second album and now over four years inand- out of the studio later, eleven new compositions are completed and now appear on “Relight”. Yes you
could definitely say these Frenchmen are perfectionists but once you’ve taken a listen to the stone cold classic that is “Relight” you’ll know why it was worth the wait.
