Monty's Mediterranean marauders
Formed in 1941 from the remnants of the Western Desert Force, the British 8th army was one of the most pivotal units of the war. The doughty fighters of the 8th, soldiers drawn from all over the British Empire, first stopped, then encircled, and finally defeated the vaunted German Africa Korps. Their victories helped swing the tide of war against the hitherto undefeated Germans. After Africa, the 8th Army participated in the invasions of Sicily and Italy. Kit features 44 figures in various poses.
