Description

Ruby the Red Worm is a humorous and educational introduction to composting and the essential role worms serve in the ecosystem. More importantly, it is a story about living a life of passion despite life's bullies - even if it means eating dirt! More about this book: This book is part of an author-in-residence project and illustrated by elementary students is my proudest accomplishment -- a community project involving about 1500 people, bringing the real-world of inspiration into the classroom, and creating a book that we believe will inspire generations. Author Biography:

Scott asked himself a question: "If I could do anything, what would I do?" His answer resulted in a quest for happiness around the world on a bicycle (32,344 miles, 4 years, 59 countries, 6 continents). His adventures are chronicled in his best-selling, award-winning book "Falling Uphill," a tale described as having moments from pure survival to pure enlightenment. Upon returning home and seeing the fruits of his journey inspire so many people, Scott hopes to create a life full of entertaining and inspiring tales about his adventures of self-discovery and the magic and mysteries of life. He was honored to be the Cultural Ambassador to Argentina by the US Dept. of State and received the Hosteling International's "Spirit of Adventure Award," among other distinctions. Scott is currently working with local schools as an artist-in-residence, and he's developing a series of workbooks to teach kids how to dream and turn those dreams into reality.
