What can I say? They are funny and they are inexpensive so make an alternative to a greetings card - which we surmise accounts for some of their popularity. We originally published them for a major newsagent's wholesaler and had no intention of bringing them to High Street booksellers - too rude, we thought. Then by accident one of the titles was bought by a major multiple retailer and immediately became an A-grade performer. Perhaps they are better suited to urban bookselling than the country - I don't know. So I had better shut up, stop apologising for them and just be glad that we have another successful range.
