RUTHIE'S ADVENTURES are great stories for Christian YOUTH

having FAITH and showing it in a diverse and broken world,
and stories that are meant for SHARING with other young
people your age -- AND with parents.
Do you LOVE stories of Christian FRIENDSHIP, girls'
FRIENDSHIP, Youth FRIENDSHIP? Read RUTHIE! Read her
stories TOGETHER, share them at CHURCH, or later on
SUNDAY!
Hey! Ruthie herself is here and has more to tell you! Go,
Ruthie!
'Hi, everyone! This is Ruth Barlett speaking. My good
friends call me Ruthie -- and you can call me Ruthie, too!
Welcome! Welcome! to my ADVENTURES IN FRIENDSHIP.
Y'know, I never wanted to go to that Church picnic, or
anything at Church.
But something happened at that picnic . . . and it was . .
. STRANGE and . . . well, not WONDERFUL then -- oh, No! it
was anything but WONDERFUL at first . . . but her parents
and my parents, they -- well, I tell that whole story in
"How We Became the Rhombus," one of the stores in BOOK ONE
of RUTHIE'S ADVENTURES IN FRIENDSHIP. The Rhombus? Well,
it's this group of 4 of us, including me, that's always
looking to give help and make friends. Never thought I'd
be part of . . . well, please read the story to get the
"whole story."
Did you ever meet a new friend and start out by HATING
her? What a long way I've walked from the HATING I did
that day I met my best friend LaTasha. (She's in The
Rhombus with me!) That, too, was an ADVENTURE . . . not
the best at first, but God helped a lot. Thank you, God,
again, for all my friends and ADVENTURES IN FRIENDSHIP.
First in BOOK ONE comes the story "All the Gods of the
People." It's the ADVENTURE of making friends with an
UNUSUAL LADY that summer my family went away. Is UNUSUAL
enough of a word to describe that LADY? Tell me what you
think after I tell you the story. And there were other
new friends that summer, too, you can read about in
"Justin's Instrument." Justin's a good friend now, but .
. . well, again, read and tell me how you think I did on
that ADVENTURE, okay? And there were, that fall, even
more new ADVENTURES IN FRIENDSHIP, told in "The Rhombus
and Zannie" and "Park Bench Prayers." Read all my
ADVENTURES! READ and SHARE, okay?
So Come Along! Please come along on my ADVENTURES in
FRIENDSHIP, BOOK ONE. And DON'T FORGET BOOK TWO! Thank
you, Tom Woodworth, for writing these ADVENTURES down so
we can share them!
Will I see you soon? Hope so!' -- Ruthie
Thanks, Ruthie! Everyone ready now to READ, and SHARE,
RUTHIE'S ADVENTURES IN FRIENDSHIP, BOOK ONE?
GREAT!
