Saga of Carus is a journal of a new Canadian who arrived from Europe to New World in the year of 1804 at the dawn of 19th century to get to know country which was to become Canada. He traveled across the continent, from the Atlantic Ocean to the Rocky Mountains, experiencing rough seas, boundless forests, great prairie, great lakes. His log book combines history, adventure, romance, and reflects his own opinion of what he saw, of people whom he met as well as events in Canada of those days he happened to be the part of. Though this book is based on historical facts and very educative it's written for easy reading with a touch of humor. This book aimed to help those who interested in little known facts of History of Canada.

Author Biography:

The author of this book, Yury Vasiliev, a Canadian, who was born in Moscow, Russia. Graduated from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations, was granted a Degree of PhD (History). In his studies and research, he specialized in African affairs. Speaks English, French, Russian, Swahili, also fluent in German, Spanish and Portuguese. He travelled excessively around the world, and this helped him to become an author who bases his works on historical facts and personal experience. Now he and his wife, Marina, reside in Halifax, Canada. Yury Vasiliev is also the author of number of books, such as Over the Equator, and some other works on History. Saga of Carus is the author's way to say sincere and heartfelt thanks to Canada which is more than a decade his home. This book was finished on the eve of the 150th anniversary of Canada and is dedicated to this event.
