She's a lovely moose – well detailed, just like I expect from Schleich. The textured coat is an especially nice touch.
This lovely depiction of female moose is one of those under-rated items that you regret when Schleich retires them. The texture is fine and the colouring delicate. Male antlered moose obviously has more wow factor. However, I am really pleased with this lovely model: helps children realise that not all moose have antlers. I haven't yet purchased the male but the children “love” this moose cow due to its high quality detail.
Known as elk in Europe, moose are the largest of all the deer family. These
large animals have elaborate forking antlers and long dark brown hair. They live
in northern forests where alder, aspen, and willows abound. Moose are
particularly well adapted to cold weather and prefer to live where summer
temperatures don't get any hotter than sixty degrees.
Fun Facts: Moose's antlers fully grow within three to five months, making them
one of the fastest growing organs in animals.
