Description

When Mary Johnson discovers the body of her sister in the local morgue, shipped home via Air France, she knows something is dreadfully wrong. She steals the family memorabilia placed with the body, and as she sorts through it, she is taken back to her high school days when she met and fell in love with Will Merrill. But Will was sent packing by her prudish yet psychotic father, and her tiny baby was sent with her sister, Robyn, to France. It is bad enough to lose Will and her sister, but where, oh where, is her son, Davey? Secrets of Two Sisters is set in the late 1950s and early 1960s, first in California as Mary looks back on her high school and early college years, then in Paris in the form of a journal composed by her sister, Robyn, and finally in Killarney, Ireland where Robyn and her opera star husband, Marc Montaigne, have been sent for protection after he stumbles onto a terrorist plot to assassinate President de Gaulle. Join Mary in her search, not just for her lost son and family, but for the love, forgiveness, and simple kindness and understanding we all crave.

Author Biography:

Author, speaker, teacher, musician, cat lover, traveler, history buff, political science dabbler--Debbie G. Brownfield enjoys all of these pursuits, but her greatest love is encapsulating all of these into novels. Her novels are rich in family, courage, suspense, and love. You won't want to miss any of these stories as the Merrill family and friends become heroes and heroines just by courageously choosing to face danger and difficult circumstances to help others. They encourage us all to do our part to face life bravely and to fight societal evils. Debbie resides in South Carolina where she teaches college English and gives piano lessons among other things. She can often be found at one of the local coffee shops or meandering through a park. Her passion to fight human trafficking is so great that she donates a portion of book sales to "Doors to Freedom" and "The A21 Campaign," ministries that actively aid victims of trafficking on both a local and a national level. For speaking engagements (she would love to come and share her powerpoint presentation on human trafficking!), please contact her agent at authorbrownfield@gmail.com.
