Description

This handbook demonstrates how to tackle the unfinished blocks lurking at the back of your cupboard. It discusses how to solve some of quilting's most common block problems, such as size dilemmas, colour clashes, orphans, and plain old boring blocks. There is advice on how to identify why you haven't used a particular set of blocks and how to determine a plan for completing a quilt top. There are 62 quilts, illustrating the author's techniques. The book also includes a glossary of quilting terms, along with decimal equivalents and setting triangle charts.

Author Biography:

Sharyn Craig loves to see how many totally different quilts she can make with the same traditional block. She travels and teaches extensively, and she writes the "Design Challenge" column for Traditional Quiltworks magazine. Sharyn lives in El Cajon, California.
