Description

Our reactions to the hard hits that come in life are usually not the best responses. Our emotions flounder, flail, and fluctuate. It takes concentrated effort to learn to be still and regroup in order to begin living a new normal. The good news is, not only is living a new normal possible, but discovering a new purpose may be just beyond a miraculous SHIFT. Shift . . . from misfortune to a meaningful cause is a collection of contemplative poetry. Each of the nine chapters present thematic poems which prod the reader to pause and rethink any type of misfortune they've experienced, extract a lesson, and SHIFT into developing a meaningful cause from it that could benefit others and better the world.
