Description

This book is the 'always there' book for your bedside table. It's ideal to dip into as a late night distraction from your day's stresses, or to break the monotony of a morning commute. And it's likely to spark up quite a different way of seeing things...Yes, these cautionary tales are not always your usual 'happily ever after' type of story. They're tales with a twist for this digital age, where appearances are never quite as they seem. For when so many of us are now part-silicon and rely on virtual technology daily, the 'fantasy' and what is 'really real' are easily confused. So the modern fairytale is born (botoxed to hide its medieval wrinkles, of course). Dabble and decide what these tales mean for you, or perhaps whether you have one to tell? Just take care not to overload your chip! As actually, that's the point of them.

Author Biography:

Ella has worked in a variety of roles, from academic lecturing to TV presenting. In the corporate world her focus was originally in sales and marketing, working with internationals in brand management, and more recently in business coaching and personal development. After graduating from St. John's Oxford in Philosophy & Theology she quickly attained MCIM and then pursued a range of stress management qualifications. One of the techniques she uses with clients is to help them to write, or to re-write, their 'story', and this has now become the basis for 'Silicon Tales' - a collection of modern fairytales that help the reader to explore some of life's challenges and changes, in a creative, succinct and impactful way. Ella's passion is to promote 'self help' to those who are most scathing about it. So was she. But now she's as likely to be seen writing a story in a canal side pub in Warwickshire as she is to be seen suited in a city meeting. She lives on the Grand Union canal when in the UK.
