‘Smoke & Ashes’ is the second album from roots music quintet The
Lonely Heartstring Band. This album takes their musical experimentatons further
than ever before, and announces the arrival of a band, which isn’t just
genre-bending – they’re creatng an entrely new sound.
They’ve taken their cumulatve experience of musical tastes, ranging from pop
to classical to folk, and discovered a common ground. Poetc depth, 60s pop,
blues-inspired grooves, and more tease out excitng textures from the
band’s bedrock bluegrass foundaton. Produced by Lake Street Dive’s Bridget
Kearney, ‘Smoke & Ashes’ puts an ideal blend of common ground and
