This is both the first systematic introduction to Discourse Studies for students and scholars of social movements and a study of discourses on the European “refugee crisis”, by leading theorist, Teun A. van Dijk. Teun A. van Dijk is Founding Director of the Centre of Discourse Studies, Barcelona, and one of the founders of critical discourse studies. Key publications include Antiracist discourse in Brazil and Antiracist Discourse. Theory and History of a Macromovement.
