Description

From celebrated picture book author Helen Docherty and the bestselling illustrator of the Questioneers series, David Roberts, comes a vitally important picture book encouraging empathy by showing we're more similar than different. Somewhere in this world, there is someone just like you, who finds the same things funny and who laughs the way you do. If they needed you, would you help them? This moving call to action reminds kids through lyrical, rhyming text and stunning illustrations that people share more similarities than differences and that kindness is doable and actionable, even when you're small.

Author Biography:

Helen Docherty is a children's author based in Swansea, Wales. Her picture books have been translated into twenty-seven languages, shortlisted for various national awards, and staged as plays. The Snatchabook was an Indie Next pick and won the Oldham Brilliant Book Award. Helen often collaborates with her husband, the illustrator and author Thomas Docherty. Blue Baboon Finds Her Tune is their latest book together. Helen worked as a Spanish and French teacher before turning her gift with words to writing for children. She has delivered many creative writing workshops and loves helping children write their own stories. David Roberts has illustrated many children's books, including the Questioneers series, The Cook and the King, and Bathe the Cat. He lives in London where, when not drawing, he likes to make hats.
