Description

Seeds Of Ascension Book One: Spirits Awakening In a normal relationship a man gets married and has the time of his life on a memorable honeymoon in Hawaii. A small dilemma begins for Roger Harrison when normality ceases existing with the discovery of metallic alien metal planted in his body. Roger is thrust onto a path he never dreamed his life would ever take as one of the chosen few to start something that philosophers and spiritualists have discussed for centuries; the Ascension of humanity. Only this isn't how the human race's next level of evolution was supposed to happen, and nor did Roger think he was the guy that would pull it off. Toss in a guardian angel, alien hunters and a sixty-thousand-year-old Atlantean, and Roger soon begins to realize his life's perfection ends with the understanding that memories are the illusion to which reality is draped and all is rarely as it seems in the journeys of a soul's growth. Especially when he doesn't even know how to spell chakra, let alone deal with having to master the seven levels in order to attain ascension. Nor can time, as he knows it, be measured in heartbeats or lifespans and a heavy price must be exacted in order to stand in the gateway between memory and knowing, reality and illusion. Especially when that effort means stopping those who would doom humanity's next phase of evolution. Reviews of Previous Novels Fasten your seatbelt as Frank Talaber takes you on a multi-dimensional trek through time where history comes alive to reveal buried secrets and tortured souls. From the stately tea salons of old Victoria to the haunting desolation of British Columbia's rugged West coast waters, The Mystery of Ms. Teak will both entertain and invite you to confront the demons that live within us all. Michael de Jong I want the author to take me to their world. I love the adrenaline rush I get from reading a book that scares the crap out of me. You know, the ones that have you screaming to the characters in your head or out loud. It tells me that the author did his or her job by getting me emotionally involved. I give up on books if I don't feel something. This book isn't one of those. April Wolfgong As a weaver of books you're beyond compare. Greta Olsson I hate you! My wife, who is off on medical leave, won't get out of the bathroom. Can't put your book down. LOL. Bruce W. Brilliant! The most craziest lore I've ever read and awesomeness pure! Spellbound from page one, can't wait to read more of his pen. Pille

Author Biography:

Frank Talaber was born in Beaverlodge, Alberta, where the claim to fame is a fox with flashing eyes in the only pub, yeah, big place, that's why his family left when he was knee high to a grasshopper and moved to Edmonton, Alberta. Eventually he got tired of ten months of winter and two of bad slush and moved to Chilliwack, BC. Great place, Cedar trees, can cut the grass nine months of the year and, oh it does snow here once or twice. Just enough to have to find out what happened to the bloody snow shovel and have to use it. GRRR. He's spent most of his life either fixing cars or managing automotive shops and is a licensed automotive technician. However it's the little muses that keep twigging on his pencil won't let his writing pad stay blank. He's had several short stories published, short-listed in contests over the years and a few automotive articles published in RV magazines, including one story that was entered into an anthology of over 300 entries, voted #1 by the readers. He has several novels published, which include the genres of urban fantasy, thriller, crime and romance. He also has written in science fiction, spiritual, erotica and comedy genres as well. This novel, The Joining, was entered into the 2020 Canadian Book Club Awards and made a top three finalist. When asked once, "where does this creativity spring from?" He answered, "It's the Gypsy blood from my mother's Hungarian ancestry." Literary madness that drives his wife crazy when he leaves their bed in the middle of the night to pound out some sort of prosaic induced brilliance. "Here we go again, the next War and Peace, Aka 21st century," she moans, only to realize it's either gibberish or there's no lead in his pencil and he's scribbled on sixteen blank pages in the dark. When asked about Frank Talaber's Writing Style? He usually responds with: Mix Dan Millman (Way of The Peaceful Warrior) with Charles De Lint (Moonheart) and throw in a mad scattering of Tom Robbins (Even Cowgirls Get The Blues). PS: He's better looking than Stephen King (Carrie, The Stand, It, The Shining) and his romantic stuff will have you gasping quicker than Robert James Waller (Bridges Of Madison County).Or as is often said: You don't have to be mad to be a writer, but it sure helps.
