Description

Everyone yearns to meet their soul mate and some actually do. What most don't realize is that their soul mate can be a mirror and a sanctuary, but not always a partner. Kate meets her soul mate and discovers the intense pleasure and bittersweet reality of a bond that defies the limits of time and space. Their journey of discovery, passion and unwavering love teaches both of them that the person who shares their innermost sensitivities and joys may also share their worst flaws and foibles. A soul mate makes you feel complete, but is it the person who can complete your life? Split Apart is a sequel to Aphrodite on the Half Shell and spans a year of change in 1965 for Kate. She goes from radio talent to media professional thanks to the love and mentorship of the men and support of the women in her life. Enjoy her wild journey.

Author Biography:

Kate O'Hara was always told her first word was "Why?" That inquisitive attitude and her love of books has led her through a variety of careers in her 70+ years - writer, researcher, recording artist, computer programmer (and all around geek), nurse, therapist, lecturer and lifelong learner. Her passion is investigative reporting and her work has been widely published over the years--usually without a byline. She regularly presents seminars on a variety of topics around the country and has lectured in Canada, Europe, Asia and Australia. Her investigative attention to detail and introspective storytelling are the hallmarks of her first-person narrative style. She is still chasing that elusive Pulitzer.
