"Just like the movie."

Well, you will either enjoy this game or you will hate it. If you loved the '97 movie, with its cynical satire and awesome action scenes, then you will enjoy a return to the Starship Troopers universe. The same guns, the same Mobile Infantry, with a few twists to add variety.

The gameplay is conventional, with a lot of onscreen bugs and a lot of shooting, but theres isnt too much of a plotline. There are some coolish weapons, but killing hundreds of bugs may tire you eventually. The graphics are pretty good, they do the film justice, and the atmosphere is spooky. The only bad part is the character models, which are, quite frankly, abhorrent.

As an FPS, its pretty average. As an FPS based on a movie, it puts you in the shoes of the Mobile Infantry. The question: Do you want to wear those shoes? I know I do.

Play as an Elite Marauder - Are you ready to join the 'Marauders' - the elite 'Special Forces' of the Mobile Infantry? Can you spearhead the assault against thousands of intelligent enemy bugs? Can you retake planet Hesperus, a Colonized Human mining planet, to save the federation, crush the bug threat and capture the Brain Bug.

Defend your compound against over 300 enemies coming at you simultaneously each with their own AI, using a variety specialist weapons, in these epic battles all made possible by the unique SWARM game engine. It's not been possible before now to put this number of enemies against you all at once.
