Intended for readers who would like to better understand the Arab-Israeli conflict, but who have neither the time nor the inclination to study several large volumes to do it, Storm: Set Adrift in a Land Called Holy was written to answer both the authors questions and those that she had heard from others. It provides a historical background for the Holy Land, and a description of it as a place where people have lived and called home. It is written to give the reader a sense of the Palestinian perspective, as well as why the conflict continues to be so intense.
