Author Biography:

Prof. Dr. Syamsul Arifin, M.Si. is a full professor in Islamic studies at the University of Muhammadiyah Malang, where he has been employed since October 1991. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Islamic Education from Universitas Islam Negeri Sunan Ampel, a Master’s Degree in Sociology from Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang, and a Doctorate in Islamic Studies from Universitas Islam Negeri Sunan Ampel. Throughout his career, Arifin has been involved in numerous research projects, including studies on human rights, democracy, multiculturalism, and religious fundamentalism. His work has contributed significantly to the understanding of these topics within the context of Indonesian society. Ahmad Fauzi, S.Pd., M.Pd. is a lecturer in the Department of Biology Education at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang, Indonesia. He earned his bachelor's and master's degrees from Universitas Negeri Malang. His research interests encompass biology education, science education, genetics education, instrument development, and learning assessment. He has made significant contributions to his field, with a total of 1500 citations since 2018, an h-index of 19, and an i10-index of 34. His research continues to have a significant impact on the field of biology education. Additionally, he serves as an editor for several national journals and is actively involved as a reviewer for various international journals. Triastama Wiraatmaja, S.S., M.Si. is Assistant Professor in the English Education Language Department, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Muhammadiyah Malang. He completed his Bachelor Degree majoring in English Linguistics and Literature in the State University of Malang in 2013, and he continued his Master Degree majoring in American Studies which was completed in 2016. Currently, he also a member of Translator and Interpreter Team in University of Muhammadiyah Malang who deals with international accreditation program since 2021. His research addresses sociolinguistics and psycholinguistics contexts with a focus on race, class, and ethnicities relationship among language learners, and language and identity development in diasporic and language learners’ context. His theoretical work is set in empirical ethnographic contexts using various methods, including Critical Discourse Analysis, sociolinguistics surveys, interview, and narrative approaches. He received numerous grants from the university which dealt with sociolinguistics and psycholinguistics contexts among language learners in Indonesia. Currently, he is working on a project that explores the language well-being of language learners in various universities in Indonesia, and community services programs engaging young learners from diverse suburbs in Malang. He also supervises Bachelor Degree students research projects, and a member of the Editorial Board for the following journals; (1) Celtic: A Journal of Culture, English Language Teaching, Literature and Linguistics, and (2) Notion: Journal of Linguistics, Literature, and Culture. Eggy Fajar Andalas, S.S., M. Hum was born in Malang, East Java on August 11, 1989. In 2014, he graduated with a Bachelor's degree in the Indonesian Language and Literature program from Universitas Negeri Malang. In 2016, he completed the Master's program in Literary and Cultural Studies at the Faculty of Humanities, Universitas Airlangga, achieving the highest distinction. His expertise and primary focus have been in literature and culture. Currently, he holds a position as a lecturer in the Department of Indonesian Language and Literature Education, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang. He is actively involved as an editor for Jurnal Satwika: Studies in Cultural Science and Social Change, Jurnal Inovasi Pembelajaran, Jurnal Genre, and Journal of Regional and Disaster Studies, as well as a reviewer for several national and international journals. In addition to contributing to scholarly journals, he has authored 19 books in the fields of education, literature, and culture. Nafik Muthohirin, S.Pd.I., MA, Hum. is a lecturer at the Faculty of Islamic Religion and program director at RBC Institute Abdul Malik Fadjar - Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM), Indonesia. He was active at the Center for Islamic and Philosophical Studies (PSIF) UMM, and previously as a program manager at the Center for Religious and Multiculturalism Studies (PUSAM) UMM. His research interests are centered on the themes of Islam and peace; Islamic education; radicalism and violent extremism.
