It is increasingly common for children with autism to attend mainstream schools. In this book, the authors use their expertise and considerable experience of working with and observing pupils with autism to exemplify the challenges faced in the classroom. Author Biography

Diana Seach has taught children with autism for 15 years. She now works as a senior lecturer in early-years education. Michele Lloyd is a post-doctoral research assistant. She has been involved in several major research projects and writes on a range of educational topics. Miranda Preston is a senior lecturer in special educational needs. She is also the head of a Special Educational Needs Research and Development Centre.
