Rather than a straight remake, this was created as a tribute to the original. There is much more dancing than the original which is pleasant to watch, but there is too much irrelevant content pertaining to the political situation at that time. Highlight of the movie was the scene with the girl whose body was being ravaged by the dance movements of another girl in the next room.
