Description

Craig Schwab is the author of In the Forest by the Light of Day, On Both Sides of the Fence written with Tony Lombardo and Something in the Neighborhood of Real, his coming of age novel written about his younger days in Glendale, New York where he resides with his wife and three children. His favorite moment related to the novel was receipt of a letter from the Louis Armstrong House Museum advising his book was made part of the Archives honoring the musicians contribution to society. Tales from the Red Couch is a collection of stories representing topics of interest for people of all ages. Taken from a wide range of things both curious and obvious, Craig Schwab brings a unique perspective to what makes us more alike than we care to admit. Whether we wonder about the aftermath of 9-11 or struggle on a daily basis to understand the trials and tribulations of daily living, these stories both entertain and introduce us to characters and situations we take for granted every day. In the title story we are offered a story right out of today's headlines mixed with a sense of morality and compassion. Another story, The Chronicles of Unanswered Whispers forces us to realize how many people were silenced and dreams forever lost due to madness our generation will never fully grasp. Stories derive from a comical homage to Duct-tape to the most recent experiences of Hurricane Sandy, Craig Schwab shares a highly unique perspective about our modern world.
