Description

A magical, humorous tale of good, evil, vengeance, and forgiveness.Emily is a delight for children and adults alike! A feather no just for the birds!" --- Ray Bradbury Emily and the Feathernail is a tale of altruism and magic for mature children and immature adults The extensive vocabulary is explained by footnotes [1]. Emily Finfeather is an orphan who lives with her angry, silent Grandmother in a dark, windy, old house. On a field trip to the zoo, Emily is locked inside the aviary overnight by evil classmates. During the long, lonely night she sets free the birds. As a reward, they give her the feathernail, a tiny feather where her little fingernail once grew. It enables her to travel inside of dreams and change them. With the aid of two other magically gifted friends and with a talking cat she sets out to discover if her parents are alive and why her grandmother is so nasty. (1) Footnotes live at the bottom of the page and give you extra information, misinformation and/or facts about some parts of the story.
