"Possibly not the greatest superhero film but enjoyable."

I must admit that as films about Spiderman go I am a fan of Tobey Maguire's earlier interpretation of the role. This is not to say that the re-booted franchise is not good but at times it seems to be over-whelmed with CGI at the expense of other elements such as character and story which is, in my view, not as compelling as the orginal film. A little disappointed but certainly worth a watch.

A great movie. One of the best Spider-mans to come out!

"Very Good"

I didnt have high hopes for this movie, since it doesn't seem like its part of the Spiderman series. Watched it, and thought it was a really good movie. I would have to say that, most of the movie is different than the other Spiderman movies.

The Amazing Spider-Man

Teenage social outcast Peter (Andrew Garfield) spends his days trying to unravel the mystery of his own past and win the heart of his high school crush, Gwen Stacy (Emma Stone). A mysterious briefcase belonging to his father, who abandoned him when he was a child, leads Peter to his dad's former partner, Dr. Connors. The discovery of his father's secret will ultimately shape his destiny of becoming “Spider-Man” and bring him face to face with Connors' villainous alter ego, the Lizard.

Critic Reviews:

  • " In addition to Garfield's winning performance, Emma Stone is appropriately sweet and sassy as Gwen Stacy. " – Richard Propes
  • " The Amazing Spider-Man, despite telling the same story again is not only successful, but a lot of fun to watch. " – David Harris
  • " A film that works best on an intimate scale, although Webb proves quite adept at directing compelling action sequences. " – Matthew Lucas
