Author Biography:

Debra Kissen, PhD, is a licensed clinical psychologist, and CEO of Light On Anxiety CBT Treatment Center. Kissen specializes in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) for anxiety and related disorders, and is coauthor of The Panic Workbook for Teens, Rewire Your Anxious Brain for Teens, and Break Free from Intrusive Thoughts. Kissen also has a special interest in the principles of mindfulness and their application for anxiety disorders, and has presented her research on CBT and mindfulness-based treatments for anxiety and related disorders at regional and national conferences.Kissen is cochair of the Anxiety and Depression Association of America (ADAA) Public Education Committee, and was recipient of the 2020 Gratitude for Giving Spirit Award and the 2018 ADAA Member of Distinction Award. Kissen often serves as a media psychologist, and strives to further the dissemination of empirically supported treatment information by offering simple-to-understand, practical tips and solutions to help mental health consumers move past stress and anxiety.Meena Dugatkin, PsyD, is a licensed clinical child psychologist and Clinical Team Lead at Light on Anxiety Treatment Center of Chicago. She specializes in evidence-based treatment of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) to treat children 12 and younger struggling with anxiety and OCD-related disorders. In addition, she provides parent coaching and parent-child dyadic therapy to facilitate management of anxiety and comorbid disorders. She co-authored a chapter in the Cultural Competency Handbook, Volume I: Practical Strategies for Classroom Instruction and was a contributing author for Clinical Case Studies in Child Psychopathology. Dr. Dugatkin belongs to the Anxiety and Depression Association of America. Grace completed her Master's in Counseling from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology with a concentration in health psychology and received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from DePauw University. Grace has engaged in training across various settings including intensive outpatient programs (IOP) and partial hospitalization programs (PHP) at a leading hospital specializing in the treatment of anxiety and OCD. Grace has worked with families and clients of all ages and has advanced training in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Anxiety, and related disorders. Through her training, Grace furthered her commitment to individualized treatment tailored to each client. Grace utilizes evidence-based interventions including ERP, CBT, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to raise client's awareness of their symptoms and help develop effective coping skills and challenge safety seeking behaviors. Grace believes in collaborating with clients to ensure their treatment plan aligns with their current needs and values. She strives to create a safe and encouraging space for her clients and their families.
