Description

This is a college textbook, but it works for all ages. It is a workbook to practice reading and writing the Arabic Alphabet. It caters to the specific needs of English speakers. With the meticulous transliteration, students begin to read Arabic from the first day of class. 800+ cognates are used in this book. The vowels, consonants, and nine Arabic symbols are dissected. The rules that govern the structure of the Arabic letters are discovered. No other methodology has 40+ original learning features in one program. Each letter is dissected and explained. This is a class-tested approach, for all ages, and it works with or without a teacher. What's more is that the author Camilia Sadik is a linguist. She is a native-Arabic speaker, and she spent five long years dissecting the Arabic Alphabet. Sadik spent an additional 15 years dissecting and discovering 100+ English spelling rules. Currently, Sadik teaches both Arabic and English at two different colleges in San Diego, California.

Author Biography:

Linguist Camilia Sadik spent 15 years intensely dissecting English, discovering over 100 spelling rules, applying the rules in 600 phonics-based spelling lessons, class-testing her discoveries, and preparing learning books for children and adults to read and spell hundreds of words at a time. The 30 unique learning features in Sadik's books make learning to read and spell inescapable. Sadik worked hard to make spelling easy and possible for all ages and all types of learners. In addition, Sadik found an easy solution to end dyslexia in spelling and in writing letters in reverse. Learning to spell and slowing down to write words slowly ends dyslexia. Sadik saw the details of English sounds and their various spelling patterns and she used what she saw in her books. See these examples:1.The vowel A has 5 sounds that are spelled in 12 ways.2.The vowel E has 7 sounds that are spelled in 17 ways.3.The vowel I has 8 sounds that are spelled in 19 ways.4.The vowel O has 12 sounds that are spelled in 20 ways.5.The vowel U has 6 sounds that are spelled in 28 ways.6.Eight consonants have 50 sounds that are spelled in 60 ways.Academically, Sadik earned a BA in Philosophy from Wayne State University and an MA in Applied Linguistics from San Diego State University. In addition, Sadik earned California Teaching Credentials and is certified in teaching ABE and ESL. Before writing books, Sadik spent over 10 years reading the best of the world's literature.Sadik is a native-Arabic speaker and she dissected Arabic as well.
