The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight - otherwise known as the BBMF or simply 'the Flight' - is based at RAF Coningsby in Lincolnshire. Its collection of five Spitfires, two Hurricanes, a Lancaster and a Dakota, performs at flying displays the length and breadth of Britain during the summer air shows. Its Lancaster bomber is rare indeed, being one of only two airworthy examples in the world. In this book acclaimed aviation photographer, Richard Winslade has drawn together a selection of his very best photographs, showcasing one of the world's most important collections of airworthy historic aircraft. Author Biography:

RICHARD WINSLADE is best known as a photographer in the fields of advertising and aviation. His commercial clients include Westland Helicopters, Vickers, Rolls-Royce, du Pont, The Sunday Times and Rank Xerox. His aviation work has been published in the leading aviation journals including Aeroplane Monthly, FlyPast, Air and Space, and Flight International. Richard lives in Gloucestershire.
