Author Biography

Laurie Krebs is the author of We're Sailing Down the Nile (HB: 978-1-84686-039-3), We All Went on Safari (PB: 978-1-84148-782-3), We're Sailing to Galapagos (PB: 978-1-84686-101-7), We're Riding on a Caravan (HB: 978-1-84148-342-9; PB: 978-1-84686-107-9) and Off We Go to Mexico! (HB 978-1-90523-639-8: PB 978-1-84686-158-1). She has four children and five grandsons, and lives in Virginia, USA. Valeria Cis spent many hours painting, drawing and reading as a little girl and became a children's book illustrator when she realized she could merge her passions into a career. She studied fine art at The University of Humanities and Arts in Rosario, Argentina. Her illustration, inspired by daily events and ordinary objects, is brought to life with special attention to detail and pattern. She still lives in Rosario with her husband, son, and their cat, Roberta.
