Description

This is the story of a great number of characters, that all reply to the same word: sadness. All starts as a young student, Finnegan Sykes, is brutally introduced to the dark gift of the vampires. He is left alone to his new misery, fighting against the demon that has just entered his mind. By such action, Sykes falls without knowing it in a deep and dark well. The girl's name is Julie, a beautiful young woman, who sadly lost the luck that had until then always been there. The bloody pulse that seems to control Sykes new life is gaining on him, but somehow, fails to enslave the attraction between a new born vampire, and a gilded human. She is perfect, gracious and an invisible force of feelings does not let him take her life. Instead, he kills robbers who had chosen the same pray, and disappears in the night, living her there near the fountain at the entry of the park of Chicago. Sykes discovers more and more, every night. Secrets of his new life, meeting members of the same damnation, and entering a new home. But in the mean time, Julie is hurting due to the pain of the loss of her best friend. She knows who killed her even though she has no proof. With a boiling hate bottled up in tears, she is about to enter a world, where even the dead points its finger at you.
