"Disappointed is an understatement after waiting so long"

Purchased on Mighty Ape

Ordered a specific cover and version of the book and got a completely different one than ordered. Specifically ordered so it would fit my set and was sent something that's completely different and I never would have ordered

"A brilliant end to an even better series"
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

I was nervous coming into the final book in the dark tower series, I had loved it and sometimes been bored by it. I think King often doesnt really know how to end his books and rushes his endings. In this case the full book really serves as the final chapter so allowed him time. And it didn't disappoint, it provided an ending that I really liked.

You've come this far, Come a little farther, Come all the way, The sound you hear may be the slamming of the door behind you. Welcome to The Dark Tower.

Author Biography:

'At the age of 19 Stephen decided he would like to write an epic similar to The Lord of the Rings. The 'spaghetti Westerns' of that time [specifically The Good, the Bad and the Ugly] and a poem written by Robert Browning, 'Childe Roland to the Dark Tower Came', became the inspiration for his magnum opus. The series written and published separately over a period of 22 years consists of seven books and the short story, 'The Little Sisters of Eluria' published in his short story collection, EVERYTHING'S EVENTUAL.'
