Description

The brutal slaying of James Gaston in Lovers Lane turns out to be the start of a series of violent attacks on the unsuspecting people of a Shropshire town by a psychopath known only by his alias 'The Deathly Angel.' But the historic picture postcard town holds darker secrets than a man seeking revenge, as the recently demoted Detective Chief Inspector Simon Eliote soon finds out when he is sent back from the smog of London to his ancestral home after being framed for the shooting of an un-armed man. Upon arrival, he finds himself straight into a confrontation with two of his team; a grouchy, old fashioned Pathologist, and a Detective Inspector who resents him for taking a job which he feels was his. Can the 'Angels', macabre killing spree shock the team into working together to catch him before it is too late...?
