Author Biography:

SANDRA BRAMAN is Professor of Communication at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Other current work includes the edited volumes Communication Researchers and Policy-makers (MIT Press, 2003) and Biotechnology and Communication: The Meta-technologies of Information (Lawrence Erlbaum Associates, 2003). She is Chair of the Communication Law and Policy Division of the International Communication Association.
