Description

Enchiridion is a Late Latin term derived from the Greek word 10;B3;C7;B5;B9;C1;AF;B4;B9;BF;BD; (enkheiridion) referring to a small manual or handbook. Similarly, The Enchiridion, or Manual of Epictetus is a short manual - a short manual of Stoic ethical advice compiled by Arrian, a 2nd-century disciple of the Greek philosopher Epictetus.

Author Biography:

Epictetus (c. AD 55 - 135) was a Greek Stoic philosopher. He was born a slave at Hierapolis, Phrygia (present day Pamukkale, Turkey) and lived in Rome until his banishment, when he went to Nicopolis in northwestern Greece for the rest of his life. His teachings were written down and published by his pupil Arrian in his Discourses and Enchiridion.
