When a second space elevator appears in Belem, Brazil, a new colony forms within its protective aura, shielded from the deadly plague that ravaged the planet. Jason M. Hough is a software designer and former 3D artist and game designer, developing such titles as Metal Fatigue and Aliens vs. Predator: Extinction. The Darwin Elevator is his first novel. He lives in San Diego with his wife and two sons.
