Description

Mun, is years old and blind. When a woman commits suicide, the cornea from her eyes are transplanted into Mun's eyes. After years of darkness, Mun can now see. Soon, strange visions and shadows begin to appear Is what Mun sees in the shadows a trick of her new eye, or something much more sinister? Quotes: "IT WILL SCARE THE WITS OUT OF YOU. UNNERVINGLY INTENSE. A CLASSIC!" - GQ "An artful, unsettling ghost story. Before I had any idea what the movie was about -- before the opening credits even concluded -- THE EYE had already reduced me to a state of trembling, goose-bumped dread. Rarely has the basic nature of visual perception seemed so frightening. But what is most impressive about THE EYE, is its delicacy. Ms. Lee, much more than a standard horror-movie shrieker, looks convincingly haunted by what she sees, and the Pangs' pictorial instinct is as sure as their shock-producing sense of timing." - The New York Times "SPOOKY! PUNGENT AND UNPRETENTIOUS. The Pang brothers clearly know what they're doing behind the camera and in the editing room. Their sense of pacing is nicely arrhythmic, which makes the 'BOO' moments all the more heart-thudding, but what's even more pleasurable are the pockets of quiet, those lacuna of low-frequency dread when nothing much happens. The Pangs remind us that nothing is more terrifying than life, not even death." - Los Angeles Times "Danny & Oxide Pang hit the jackpot with this supernatural thriller. You'll think of THE RING as well as THE SIXTH SENSE, but the Pangs spin their own unique sense of dread. The Pangs deliver enough shivery scares to keep you up nights. Eyes wide shut." - Rolling Stone "Eerie and Stylish!" - People Special Features:
