Everyone thinks they know the story of the Golem - the ancient Jewish legend about a creature fashioned from clay and brought to life to strike back against the enemies of the Jews - but as one man is about to discover, the story people think they know is only just the tip of the iceberg.After centuries of being used and manipulated, the Golem's story begins after he is touched by a mysterious prophet who calls himself 'The King of the Jews' and first begins to develop...sentience. As more and more centuries pass, the Golem slowly starts to question the nature of his existence until finally, he slowly finds himself beginning to develop a conscience - which in turn leads him to rebel and finally turn his back on his former human masters.When he first encounters and then falls into the company of the mysterious Lady Temperance, she attempts to show him that humans are not all bad, and that are just as capable of love as they are of creating war, but little does she know that there are other forces at work who have their own sinister plans for the Golem.
