Eloise Laws is a breast cancer survivor and the overwhelming love and support she received, when she was going through the toughest time of her life, inspired her to write this book. Author Biography

Eloise Laws is a 4 time Tony nominated actress, award-winning vocalist, author; and breast cancer survivor. Eloise was born in Houston, Texas and began her singing career, following a scholarship at Texas State University, Eloise soon found herself signing on with Corinthian Broadcasting Company and then signed her first recording contract with Columbia Records in 1968. Since then, in more than 40 years as an entertainer, Eloise Laws has given unforgettable performances in theater productions including; "It Ain't Nothin' But the Blues," "South Pacific" and "Nat King Cole and Me-A Musical Healing." There performances have earned her 4 Tony nominations, a Drama Desk nomination and a Helen Hayes nomination for "Best Actress in a Musical." She has also won the Cherry Blossom Award at the Tokyo Music Festival. In a diversion from her singing career, in her book, "The Healing Shower," Eloise shares her thoughts on how she dealt with suffering from cancer. She also explains what a healing shower is and how it can be used to help those, who are also combating other serious or chronic illnesses, especially terminal ones. Eloise shares stories of other celebrities, known personally to her, who have conquered or are battling this dreadful disease. Eloise continues to perform at various music venues, and at times will appear with her successful siblings; Hubert, Ronnie and Debra Laws.
