Author Biography:

David McLoughlin is based in York and has been writing since the age of seven, when he appeared in a National Teachers Journal. Since then his works have appeared in local and national magazines and latterly in Best Modern Voices as well as many web publications. David commenced writing articles and short stories in 1982 and published North East in Eden in 2013. David runs a writing group for people writing 'Living Memories' and is a reviewer for author's works and a prolific web publisher. James Emslie was born in 1948 in York and still lives in the city. He is an artist, poet, and writer of short stories. He has had a working life he describes as interesting, everything from road sweeper to soldier and latterly working in a mental hospital. Now retired he devotes his time to writing and landscape painting. He began writing short stories in the 1990's and has not stopped since. He is a member of three writing groups with the University of the Third Age, along with his fellow collaborator on this book David McLoughlin. This is his first collection of short stories to be published.
