She has published ten volumes of poetry in Israel, including her collected poems, Frequencies (2005). The Hymns of Job and Other Poems marks her first full-length American edition. Translator Tsipi Keller was born in Prague, raised in Israel, and has been living in the United States since 1974.

Author Biography:

Maya Bejerano was born in Israel (1949), and holds a B.A. in Literature and Philosophy from Bar-Ilan University, and an M.A. in Library Sciences from Hebrew University. She has published eleven volumes of poetry, including her collected poems, Frequencies (2005); a children's book; a book of essays; and two short story collections. Tsipi Keller was born in Prague, raised in Israel, and has been living in the U.S. since 1974. She is recipient of several literary awards, including a NEA Translation Fellowship, CAPS and NYFA awards in fiction, and an Armand G. Erpf award from Columbia University. Her anthology, Contemporary Hebrew Poetry, will be published by SUNY Press in 2008.
