Description

The Good Newz Dudez, GND, are a diverse group of adolescents and teens who simply have a heart for helping each other overcome low self-esteem, because of stereotyping, bullying and negative peer pressure. Even at their young age, each has seen the negative effect a selfish and uncaring person has on kids. Their mission is simple: to use family values and faith to help each member of the GND learn the importance of developing conflict resolution, violence prevention and cultural diversity skills. The life lesson young readers will learn from reading The I Gotta Have It's: Giving is better than greed! In this book, Stinky Winky is the member of The Good Newz Dudez needing the help. Stinky Winky is a foster kid, from Great Britain. He developed low self-esteem and became greedy because of being adopted. In his mind, nobody ever gave him anything! The story unfolds as The Good Newz Dudez plan to build a tree house in an empty lot, donated to the GND by the Mayor. Very excited, everyone began talking about what they could give to build a tree house for everyone to enjoy, everyone but Stinky Winky. Enjoy the story and watch the heart of your young reader open to appreciate that giving is better than greed!

Author Biography:

Fred Robinson Born and raised in Cleveland, OH, Fred displayed a passion for making life "better" for others at the age of 12. From volunteering to help the YMCA Director hand out game supplies to joining an inner-city gardening club as an alternative to gang violence, Fred has always had a passion for helping those who struggled in life. After college, Fred began working with teen youth offenders, truancy and drop-out prevention programs, in K-12 public and faith-based settings. It was during his time that Fred and Gary James met. Their love for helping the under served has now taken on a new direction. The book titles and content reflect that love and life-long mission to help today's youth develop the inner personal tools to help themselves. Gary James Born and raised in Roselle Park, NJ, Gary began drawing cartoon characters at the age of eight. Gary worked on his high school newspaper as a comic strip artist and went on to earn a degree in commercial art and advertising. Gary has worked in various school settings teaching art. Along the way Gary found that cartooning was a great way to help kids feel better about themselves. That's when he started drawing characters that represented kids from all races and ethnic backgrounds. The birthing of the Good Newz Dudez took place. Human characters, animals and super heroes, all designed to help kids shake of the idea that looking different is bad.
