These volumes cover his tumultuous career in parliament, his writings and patronages, his marriage and his career with the Church of England. Edmund Gosse (1849-1928) was an English poet, author and critic. He received an Hon MA from Cambridge University, lectured at Trinity College in Cambridge and worked as a librarian at the British Museum. He was a much sought after lecturer and speaker in his time and an honored literary critic.
