The Lives Of A Bengal Lancer
Gary Cooper and Franchot Tone star in this sweeping adventure set in India when it was the jewel in the crown of the British Empire. Coope is an experienced officer among crack troops around the Khyber Pass on India's northern frontier. Tone is his buddy, well-bred and wry. These dashing men, ordered into border warfare with Afghans and guerillas, must also look after the commanding colonel's son, a young and untested officer (Richard Cromwell).
The three become a gallant trio one for all and all for one. The excitement never stops as they plunge into action, risking all for victory, enduring perils and proving their courage in a thrilling final fortress battle.
