A note from the Author: As a childcare provider, my heart ached to the core when we closed my daycare during the COVID-19 virus outbreak. Having to process not being with the children on a daily basis was devasting. I turned my sadness into creating, on paper, a magical world where children could escape from the seriousness of daily events. While writing this story, I listened to music to channel my thoughts. I wanted to feel the passion of the story evolve naturally. I wished to express what was in my heart, and hopefully lighten the hearts of the children with whom this story is shared. I am hoping that my story will inspire children to be brave, to always be hopeful, and to understand that life will sometimes have challenges. But, during challenging times, staying positive can help lead you to a light at the end of a tunnel.
