Description

The most misunderstood terminology in Christianity is prophecy. The most missing God's minister under the New Covenant is the prophet. In this book, the author explains this terminology in terms of both Old Testament and New Testament. Today, more focus is made on foretelling and less emphasis made on right interpretation of scriptures and warning against deviation from the Word of God. Are there prophets under the New Covenant? Are they different from the prophets under the Old Covenant? What is the place accorded by God for the New Testament prophets? The basic scriptures are taken from Paul's epistle to the church in Ephesus. "And Christ Jesus gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ: That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive: " (Eph.11 to 14).In this book, the author also distinguishes the ministry of New Testament prophets from that of Old Testament prophets. He also deals with the false gospel and the false prophetic ministry. He has also interpreted some portions from the Old Testament prophetic books in the context of the gospel of truth and of grace under the New Covenant. He has also published one eye-opening article written by Chip Brodgen titled "The Prophetic Person" along with his "Letter to a reluctant prophet" and another article titled "Discerning the false prophets" by Clay Sike
